About E-Alerts
D3's E-Alerts module is a web-intake reporting tool that allows non-users and anonymous users within the organization to report physical security issues, or cyber security issues such as possible Malware infections. A link to the E-Alert web form can be placed on the company’s web-page or intranet homepage, and can serve as the reporting mechanism for all users without the requirement of a login or user-license to the vSOC application.
- Members of the public who wish to report an incident on company property
- Employees who wish to anonymously report policy or safety violations
- Employees or clients who wish to submit a security request through an intranet or corporate portal
Incoming E-Alerts are processed by a designated administrator, at which point they can be escalated to Dispatch or Incident Report status, or simply archived for reference purposes.
This reporting tool is superior to email, as it provides a more cohesive, seamless way of tracking incoming reports, eliminates the need for double-entry, and allows the organization to design its own report-form to guide submitting parties towards specific details required by the physical security or cyber security teams.
